International Food Sale
In March 2025, our nonprofit hosted its first International Food Sale to support children with chronic diseases. Student founders and volunteers hand-made over 200 zongzi, raising $1,000 to promote active, joyful lives for these children. The event brought the community together in kindness and hope, inspiring us to plan future international food sales celebrating global culture and compassion.
On October 5, 2025, Bridge to the Future president David Li led a fundraising team at the RBC Race for the Kids, raising $180 for children with hemophilia. His leadership earned him the Youth Participation Award, and the organization plans to continue promoting wellness and healthcare access for children with chronic illnesses.
Bridge to the Future and Chess Through Challenges held a week-long fundraising sale in Chicago from October 4–8, featuring handmade crafts by students from Salama Gachie Community School in Nairobi. The event raised $300 to support the school’s educational programs and inspired strong community engagement, fostering meaningful connections between youth in Chicago and Kenya.
